CHIEF MINISTER MEETS THE WINNERS OF SKILL INDIA COMPETITION


Dated: Aizawl the 27th of May, 2024: Today, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma hosted a commendation gathering at his office to honor the 8 triumphant winners of the 2024 National Skill Competition - Indiaskills. Organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Skill India under the Ministry of Skill Development, the competition took place from the 15th to the 20th of May, 2024

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the winners and offered his warm wishes for their future pursuits. During the meeting, he emphasized that skill development is a crucial focus under the government's handholding policy. Encouraging the winners to persevere in their endeavors and set precedents for the future, he pledged government support to fulfill their skill enhancement needs

Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, the Minister of Labour Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department, Pu Lalmalsawma Pachuau, IRS, Secretary of LESDE, and Pi Angela Zothanpuii, the Director of LESDE, were among the officials in attendance today.

The State government will provide cash incentives to the 8 winners in recognition of their achievements. The winners and their respective fields are as follows:

1. Maximus Lalruatkima - Gold Medal (Floristry)

2. Vanlalbiakdiki - Gold Medal (Shoe Making)

3. Emily VL Thakimi - Gold Medal (Fashion Technology)

4. Anthony Lalchhanhima - Silver Medal (Drone Film Making)

5. Laltlanzovi - Medallion of Excellence (MoE), (Hair Dressing)

6. Vanlalhriatchhungi - Medallion of Excellence (MoE), (Beauty Therapy)

7. Liansangrem - Medallion of Excellence (MoE), (Plumbing & Heating)

8. Lallawmkima - Medallion of Excellence (MoE), (Electrical Installation)
